Fire Mitigation Bulletin #3
Posted on Nov 12, 2009

After consulting with the City Fire Mitigation Project Manager this morning, we learned that the start date for their work is now scheduled for Monday, November 16. The work is being done by the Juniper Valley Fire Crew (DOC), and the start date is dependent upon their availability.

HOA representatives have flagged in blue tape additional trees to be saved in the trail system, major drainage area, and have reiterated our concern of erosion, flood, and drainage control, especially in the far southern portions of the City owned easements. Final decisions will be made by the City. Communications with the City continue to be open.

Please remember: if you own property that adjoins a city owned drainage easement where you see some trees spray painted in blue, that means that the City will be working in that easement. The blue spray paint indicates a tree they have marked to be SAVED. Saved trees will have their lower branches trimmed. If you have other trees that adjoin your property that are not marked, but which you desire to be saved, please flag them in any other color tape but blue or orange.

We will publish a work schedule for this project by the City as soon as it becomes available. Please continue to check this website for continuous updates. Thanks!
