We had a positive and constructive conversation this morning with the Project Manager for the City’s Dawson Ranch Fire Mitigation program. Here is a brief summary:
1. Work will begin today on the City owned drainage/trail system from Greenhorn to Tanner.
2. Part of the south end of this drainage was flagged by HOA volunteers yesterday, from Pike View to Greenhorn for additional trees to be saved primarily for the purpose of erosion control.
3. The issue of dead wood/brush will be addressed, and removed as part of the City’s fire mitigation plan.
4. City owned drainage areas not already marked with blue spray paint are under further review and evaluation by the City because of property line ambiguities, access, and narrowness.
5. No further work is scheduled for the drainage area between Kyndra and Wild Rose.
If you are a property owner whose land adjoins a City owned drainage area that has been marked with blue spray paint, we urge you to clearly mark your property boundaries. It is very helpful to the City, and will prevent any confusion on where work can be done. We can provide you with orange flagging tape, upon request.
Please know our channels of communication with the City are open. We will continue to keep you updated on this website. Please communicate with us through the website, or by our e-mail address: dawsonhoa@gmail.com.
Thanks!
